What is your “Reality”

Wow, we are at the end of 2016.  We have witnessed so much tragedy in this country this year alone with all of the police shootings of unarmed black men and women, blatant racism, terrorist attacks and more.

I find myself asking the question of “Where do you find strength in the midst of all of this”? “What is your reality to make you fight and not give up”?  This year has definitely been an eye opener for me and so many others who were faced with their own personal calamities.

I witnessed a dear friend overcome and fight breast cancer and that was a humbling experience for me. To see her at her worst and still look as radiant as ever revealed the strength that we as women possess. Determined to live and a will to overcome sickness was her reality!

To witness another best friend lose her home in a disastrous flood leaving she and her family without a home and no personal belongings was heartbroken. Her positivity scared me as I thought she had lost her mind. She was too calm for me after losing “everything “!! Again, the strength of a woman who was determined to keep her family together and not be defeated was her reality!

Each of us have a “reality” to face and our attitude determines how our outcome will be. Having a positive mindset and faith has definitely shown me that through adversity, we can defeat anything that comes our way!!

End of Year Self Reflection

Ask yourself, what are you going to do differently in 2017 that you have not done this year. What things could you improve to make your new year the best year you have ever had?

Grab a notebook and make a list of those things that should have been accomplished this year. For everything that was not achieved, move it to the list for 2017 to complete. You will never find your full potential if you continue to procrastinate and talk yourself out of doing a task.

I must admit that I am guilty of procrastinating and finding excuses not to do what I know I am supposed to do. How can I as a mother and wife influence my family if I don’t follow my own advice.

My self reflection for 2016 is to take more risks within my career and step out on Faith. Believing that if God gave me the vision, that he will also make the provision for it too. Stop letting fear be in control and define my purpose!!

2017 will be a year of manifestation and walking in purpose. Find a girlfriend and bring her along for the blessings and a life changing experience!!

Created to Influence

I started this blog for women to promote empowerment and encouragement.  We as women need inspiration and support throughout our daily lives to continue to move forward through the constant perils of life.

Support from our families are so important to us as we struggle to find ways to improve, create, inspire, and decide.  Most importantly, the support from other women is crucial for us to have just as it is from our immediate families.  Let me explain to you why this is so important.

God instilled wisdom and discernment in women for a purpose.  It is up to us to understand what to do with our gifts.  We were created to encourage and empower man to do the unthinkable.  It is now time to use these gifts to do the same for other women.  We need to embrace our femininity and not be ashamed of our assets.  Women supporting other women in their aspirations can move this world in a different direction.

We were made to do more in life than to be mediocre. It is time to allow the Holy Spirit to lead us in directions we never thought we would ever go.  The time is now to make an impact in a female’s life that will be a lasting impression of restoring, influencing, and empowerment!!
